Wind advisory in effect until 9 p.m.

The National Weather Service, Spokane, has issued a wind advisory for North Idaho calling for southwest winds of 10 to 20 miles per hour and gusts to 45 miles per hour, in effect from noon until 9 p.m. today. The Missoula office of the National Weather Service has also issued the same advisory for the Kootenai/Cabinet Region, in effect until midnight.

Gusty winds can blow around unsecured objects and blow down trees, resulting in potential traffic hazards and power outages.
