Valley View first graders had a field trip to the
Sheriff’s Office annex, where they got to see and pet
Buddy, corporal Valenzuela’s drug K9, along with a tour of
some of the patrol vehicles and special equipment.
Undersheriff Rich Stephens, deputy David Wion, ISP trooper
Mike Martinez and sheriff Dave Kramer gave them a
demonstration of several items and answered their
questions. Stephens then had them all raise their right
hand as he swore them in as Junior Sheriff’s Deputies
after they all promised to be good kids. They then
received their Junior Deputy sticker badges. Kramer said
he appreciated teacher Nelda Gentry and other helpers
bringing the class over to visit and learn about the
Boundary County Sheriff’s Office. |
