It could begin to look a lot like Christmas ... in mid-June

June 13, 2022

The National Weather Service, Spokane, has issued a winter weather advisory for snow and wind above 4,000 feet in Boundary and Bonner Counties, with two to ten inches of mid-June snow possible.

The advisory is in effect from midnight to 11 a.m. Tuesday. For reference, the Boundary County Airport at Three Mile is at 2,331 feet of elevation.

Snowfall could make travel difficult, especially in the back country, and hikers and campers be prepared for impacts from snow and breezy conditions.
