Red flag warning replaces fire weather watch

The National Weather Service, Spokane, has issued a red flag warning for North Idaho, in effect from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Wednesday, The fire weather watch issued earlier is no longer in effect. Southwest winds of 10 to 15 miles per hour gusting to 25 miles per hour are expected, with localized gust of 30 miles per hour are expected tonight through Wednesday night. Coupled with 20 to 25 percent valley humidity and 25 to 35 in the mountains and valley temperatures in the upper 80s, conditions will be extremely conducive to fire spread and new fire starts.
