Heavy snow, wind expected Monday

November 6, 2022

The National Weather Service, Spokane, has issued a winter storm warning for heavy snow and high winds, in effect from 1 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday. Total snow accumulations of four to 10 inches pushed by winds gusting to 35 miles per hour are expected across Boundary and Bonner County and north Kootenai County.

Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the Monday morning commute.

If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for the state you are calling from can be obtained by calling 511.
