December 24, 2022
The National Weather Service has issued winter weather advisories for North Idaho, northeastern Washington and the Kootenai/Cabinet Region of northwest Montana, in effect from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. PST today. Warm air will continue to slowly nose northward over the resident Arctic air mass. This will bring a mix of precipitation types including the potential for several hours of freezing rain and snow. Light to moderate ice accumulations are possible in some areas. Two to four inches of new snow are expected, which could be overlaid with up to a tenth of an inch of glaze ice. Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and hazardous. Plan on slippery road conditions. |
