Sam Charles Testa Jr., Bonners Ferry, charged with four counts of petit theft November 21 for four alleged shoplifting incidents at Super 1 Foods in Bonners Ferry between October 24 and November 1, entered into a plea agreement and was sentenced to community service and ordered to pay restitution.

Under the agreement, two counts of petit theft were dismissed and he agreed to plead guilty to two counts of disturbing the peace.

On Thursday, January 12, Judge Justin Julian accepted the agreement and imposed the sentence recommended by prosecutor Andrakay Pluid; 30 days in jail, 28 days suspended, with 16 hours on the Sheriff's Inmate Labor Program in lieu of jail, a $42.50 fine and $157.50 costs per count, $121.35 restitution to Super 1 and 364 days probation.
