It's been a whirlwind of activity of late for the Bonners Ferry FFA Chapter, and it's not over yet as they are partnering with Boundary County Farm Bureau and inviting anyone and everyone to enjoy a free pancake breakfast to celebrate National Ag week from 7 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, March 22, in the Bonners Ferry High School Ag Shop!

This is a great opportunity to come socialize with fellow community members and to learn more about the BFHS agriculture program while enjoying pancakes and sausages cooked and served by FFA members.

On January 20, the Bonners Ferry FFA chapter traveled to Moscow to complete in the North Idaho career development events. The chapter competed in Ag sales fourth overall, with high individuals in first, second and third, employment skills with high Individuals in first and fifth, and Agronomy, taking first overall with high individuals in first, second, and third place. They will represent the Bonners Ferry FFA chapter at state level in June!

Jasmine Daniel took fourth in public speaking, Kassidy Durette, Lilly Bremer, Mason Zills, Stryder Lierman, MaKenna Baisden, Gaige Johnson and Israel Johnson placed sixth in conduct of chapter meetings, and Marissa Kaden, Jesse Meritt, William Hollabough, Evelynn Chaney, Trew Lammers, Nora Young, Sydeny Beckel, Jasmine Daniels and Devin Sceppe each competed in meats, with Evelynn, Jasmine, Nora and Sydney earning the top four spots and the right to represent Bonners Ferry FFA at state in June.

The chapter sends out thanks to the local Farm Bureau for inviting them to take part in the Farm Bureau Discussion Meet, where William Hollabough won first place and a trip the opportunity to represent Bonners Ferry at districts. Lilly Bremer took second and Jasmine Daniels third, and all FFA members who competed did a great job.

And last but far from least, the chapter put on a wildly successful donkey basketball fundraiser, bringing in $2,256.41 for Boundary County Victim Services!
