Billy Tuttle in critical condition

March 16, 2023

On Friday, March 10, Billy Tuttle went to the emergency room at Boundary Community Hospital, where he was diagnosed with a ruptured colon and transferred to Bonners General Hospital in Sandpoint. The initial surgery seemed to be successful until the following day when he became combative and delirious and had to be sedated. After two days with no improvement and no diagnosis, it was decided that he needed to be transferred and on Monday March 13, he was transferred to a hospital in Missoula, Montana, where a team was ready.

He had pneumonia, and was put on a ventilator, and multiple abscesses were found in his abdomen, necessitating further surgery.

He underwent surgery again this morning, and he remains in critical condition.

His family asks for prayers for strength and healing for his body, along with prayers for continued strength of family in this difficult time. Both of his daughters, Bridgette and Mikayla, are by his side and are asking for help to be able to stay with him at this crucial time.

"Billy's Medical Fund" has been established on the family's behalf at Columbia/Umpqua Bank, and donations can be made at any branch. Online contributions can be made via Cash App at https://cash.app/$Qeirasmommy and checks, made out to Darc Elliston with "Billy's Medical Fund" in the "For" line, can be mailed to 9B News, P.O. Box 1625, Bonners Ferry, ID, 83805.
