'Real' seniors invited to awesome senior class party

A ubiquitous part of high school graduation day is the senior class party, typically a last gathering of friends who've often grown up together and shared a common experience before they move on to their own individual futures. For BFHS Class of '23 graduates Grace Hopkins and Kaylee McCabe, class salutatorian, it was about more. It was about honoring seniors who have spent a lifetime giving of themselves for their families and their community, and to give them a chance to share in the enjoyment of their memorable day.

Instead of taking the Chevy to the levy, the two wanted a "real" senior party, and they invited Restorium residents to celebrate with them over an afternoon of punch, snacks, Bingo and camaraderie at the Valley Event Center at the Boundary County Fairgrounds.

"We thought it would be a great experience for us and hoped that they would enjoy it as well," the two said. "The residents have spent years doing for others and we wanted to give back ... It is memory we won't forget."

Kids, it's antics like this that compel so many of your teachers, counselors, families and friends who know you well to call your Bonners Ferry High School Class of 2023 truly and wonderfully exceptional.
