Myrtle Marie Bain, 89, died on January 19, 2022 at her home in Bonners Ferry. Myrtle was born on December 15, 1932, in Missoula, Montana.
David Andrew Trice, 87, died on January 20, 2022, at his home in Bonners Ferry. David was born on May 23, 1934, in Long Beach, California, the son of Newton and Thelma Morse Trice. Viewing will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today, January 25, at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home, 6485 Harrison Street. Graveside Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 26, at St. Michael's Mission Cemetery.

Valencia Lynn Voth Paulus was born to Lewis Wayne and Freda Wilma Schmidt Voth on October 21, 1956, in Lynwood, California. She peacefully passed away on January 20, 2022, in Twin Falls, Idaho. A viewing will held from 8 to 6 p.m. MST Monday, January 24, at Reynolds Funeral Chapel in Twin Falls. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. MST Tuesday, January 25, at the Filer Church of God in Christ Mennonite, 109 5th Street, Filer, Idaho.

Louise D. Wankmuller, 94, Bonners Ferry, passed away on January 13, 2022. A private ceremony will be held at Hollywood Memorial Park in Union, New Jersey. Born in Taylor, Pennsylvania, in 1927, she lived most of her life in New Jersey.
January 18
Sherrie Squire Hendricks, 79, passed away on January 10, 2022, in Hayden, Idaho. She fought a valiant battle against kidney disease for many years, and finally went home to be with Jesus, surrounded by three of her children and four of her grandchildren. Her final resting place will be in Maple Valley, Washington, and family and friends will be having a memorial gathering in the spring in Seattle.

Darrin Kucherry, 56, a lifelong resident of North Idaho, passed away the morning of December 20, 2021. His unexpected death was the result of a tragic logging accident on Hoodoo Mountain in Priest River. A memorial service celebrating Darrin’s life is being planned at a later date.
January 14
Mickey Lee Marble, 77, Naples, Idaho passed away at home December 7, 2021. He was the youngest of seven children born to Harry Enoch Marble and Gertrude Rose (Rubbert) Marble. Mickey was born on a cold January morning at home in Rankin, Michigan.
Clayton Lee Unruh was born to Orville and Mary Giesbrecht Unruh on May 23, 1948, in Bonners Ferry during the notorious ‘48 flood. God called him Home during the night of January 12, 2022, after a year-long battle with non-small cell lung cancer. He was 73 years old. Viewing was held on Sunday, January 16. Funeral Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 17, at Woodland Mennonite Church, 7334 Olympic Way, Bonners Ferry. Burial will immediately follow at Woodland Mennonite Cemetery.

Rona Marlene Lincks, 65, died Sunday, January 9, 2022, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene. She was born May 16, 1956, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, to Ronald and Janet Marcy. Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday, January 20-21, at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home, 6485 Harrison Street. Private services will be held Saturday for the family. Viewing will continue from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday, January 23, also at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home.

Carol Ann (Cripe) Young passed away January 1, 2022, quietly at home. She was 80 years old. Carol was born on July 11, 1941 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, to Ford and Edith Cripe. The family has opted to wait until summer to have a memorial service.
December 28
Robert Mena, 66, passed away on December 22, 2021, at his home in Bonners Ferry. Robert was born in Santa Monica, California, on January 28, 1955, the son of Raphael and Anastasia Torres Mena. No services are planned. Bonners Ferry Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Jo Ann Johnson, 92, passed away on December 27, 2021, at Boundary Community Hospital. Jo Ann was born on August 16, 1929, the daughter of Joe and Eunice Nelson Bunney in Yakima. Services will be held at a later date. Bonners Ferry Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Frances Thoms left this earth to join her loved ones on December 22, 2021. At her request there will be no services. She was born in Copeland, Idaho on November 26, 1922, to Eliza and Frank Bear. She attended grade school in Copeland and graduated from Bonners Ferry High School in 1940.
Roxana “Roxy” Marie Lannigan, 79, Lewiston, passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston. Born in 1942 in Bonners Ferry, she is predeceased by her parents, Darrell and Marie Lannigan. A private celebration of life will be held in Roxana’s honor in the early spring.
December 23
Kathryn Braatz, Bonners Ferry, died on December 22, 2021, at her daughter’s home in Spokane Valley due to complications following surgery in early October. She was cared for by professional caregivers, Hospice of Spokane, and her family until her death. A memorial service for Kathryn will be held in the spring.
December 15
On Flag Day, June 14, 1949, Jeanne Arlene Carey King was born to Evalie and Samuel Carey in Bonners Ferry. She peacefully passed away with her family by her side on December 9, 2021. We will honor Jeanne’s life with a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, December 17, at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home, 6485 Harrison Street. A viewing will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, December 18 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 6568 Alderson Lane, Bonners Ferry, with funeral services to follow at 11 a.m.
John Allen Brown Sr. peacefully passed away December 9, 2021, at his home in Troy. Military services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 20, at Milner Lake Cemetery. Following the services, the family would like to invite you to join them at the Silver Spur in Troy.

John Platts was born on November 18, 1946, in Bonners Ferry to Jesse and Margaret (Harper) Platts. He was born on his mother’s birthday. On December 6, 2021, he died at a hospital in Grand Forks, North Dakota, where he had lived for three years. A small family memorial service will be held Saturday, December 11, at his church in North Dakota. Another memorial service will be held at a later date in Portland, Oregon.
Ethel H. (Kincaid) Petersen passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at her home in Bonners Ferry. Services will be held at a later date. She was born on July 23, 1935, in Tres Penos, California, to Arthur and Elizabeth (Lewis) Kincaid. She married the love of her life, Clarence “Duke” Petersen, August 23, 1954.
Douglas Irvine Bennett, 69,Moyie Springs died Thursday, November 18, 2021, at his home. He was born on July 10, 1952 in Bonners Ferry. A full obituary is pending. Arrangements are being cared for by the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home.
December 6
Carol Jean Pomeroy, 92, died at her home at the Restorium in Bonners Ferry on November 25, 2021. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held in April at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6784 Cody Street, Bonners Ferry. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Bonners Ferry.
December 3
William "Bill" Platts was born December 17, 1943, to Margaret "Harper" Platts and Jesse Platts. He passed on November 17, 2021, at home with family. He was one of six children; Lyle, Richard "Dick," Carol, Robert "Bob," and John. Being raised in Bonners Ferry turned his mind to the wild places and he developed a love of hunting and fishing that he carried with him all of his life.
November 30
Dr. Bob Stoll, DVM, Sandpoint, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Monday, November 29. Per Bob’s wishes, a private family memorial will be held at a later date. Dr. Bob and Heidi would like to thank all of their clients at Animal Medical Care and friends for their support over the years and will miss you dearly.
Virginia Prieber, 84, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2021, at the Boundary County Extended Care Facility. Born July 13, 1936, in Baltimore, Maryland, she gained national acclaim for keeping a long stretch of Boundary County roadway free of litter. No services are planned at this time.
Jane (Stuart) Lehman Hudson, Bonners Ferry, Idaho, went to be with Jesus on November 25, 2021, from her home after a valiant fight with cancer. She was 73 years old. A Celebration of Life service for Jane will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 4, at the First Baptist Church, 6711 El Paso Street, Bonners Ferry.
William Ralph Platts, 77, of West Richland, Washington, died November 17 in West Richland. He was born in Bonners Ferry and lived in the Tri-Cities for 47 years. Service arrangements are pending.
Donald L. Dozier, 96, passed away peacefully on November 27, 2021, at Boundary Community Restorium. Donald was born on October 4, 1925, the son of Lee and Ada Sullivan Dozier. Friends are invited to sign his online guestbook here. Bonners Ferry Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Jeannette Johnson Levig took the hand of Jesus November 23, 2021, and entered her final rest. Viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 7, at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 8, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 6784 Cody Street, Bonners Ferry, with interment to follow at Grandview Cemetery.
David Elliot Wiley, 33, born in Logan, Utah, and residing in Bonners Ferry, passed away unexpectedly at around 6 p.m. November 26, 2021, as a result of a tragic train accident. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 11, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 6568 Alderson Lane, Bonners Ferry.

Frederick James Thompson, age 96, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 13. He was born in Bonners Ferry October 30, 1925, to James and Edna (Ball) Thompson. Per his request, there will be no services.
November 22
Louise E. Raper, 79, Troy, died on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at her home of natural causes. She was born on February 23, 1942, at Kerrville, Texas, to Bill and LaNell Orcutt. She attended high school at Central High in Tulsa, Oklahoma and earned an Associate’s Degree in Electrical and Mechanical Drafting from Tulsa Tech.
November 18
Selby Scott Sharp Sr. passed away in Bonners Ferry on November 7, 2021, just four months before his 100th birthday. Selby will be interred at the Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California, where his son John is buried. The family is planning a celebration of life when all those grandchildren and great-grandchildren can attend.
November 9
Beatrice E. Madill passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on Monday, November 8, 2021. She was 83 years young. A memorial service will be held at the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home, 6485 Harrison Street, at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 20.

Joyce A. Peterson, 92, died on November 4, 2021, at Boundary County Nursing Home. Joyce was born on June 2, 1929, the daughter of Joseph and Cyrille Traver McNalley, in Bonners Ferry. Margaret (McAllister) Hunrichs passed away on October 15, 2021, at age 90. She was a loved and involved member of the Bonners Ferry community for over 25 years. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
Ada Crossman, 81, passed away on October 28, 2021 at the Scheidmiller House in Coeur d'Alene. She was born on August 25, 1940 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho the daughter of Harry and Doris Mumford Meyers. No services at planned at this time.

Eugene Leslie Harms, 89, passed away on October 25, 2021, at Sunset Home Assisted Living in Bonners Ferry. Vivian (Vetter) Doll passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 10, 2021. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 30, at Holy Cross Cemetery, Spokane. Vivian was born in Bonners Ferry July 4, 1948.

Reverend Steven P. Robins, 69, passed on from this earth, receiving a permanent change of address straight into the loving arms of his Savior hearing in person “Well done good and faithful servant” on October 22, 2021, going to his final rest peacefully in his sleep. A celebration of Steve’s life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 30, at Bridgeway Assembly of God, 66027 U.S. Highway 2 near Bonners Ferry.

Pastor Clayton Lloyd Rockwell went home to be with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ October 7, 2021. He spent his last hours recreating on the Yaak River, and it was the river that became his entry into eternity.
Lois Ann Butler Amoth was born on May 21, 1944, to Eldon and Lois Kleiwer Butler in  Bonners Ferry. She passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of October 16, 2021, at Sunset Home Assisted Living after a very brief illness. Viewing will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 20 at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home, 6485 Harrison Street. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 21, at Mountain View Mennonite Church, 510752 Highway 95, Bonners Ferry, with burial to follow at the Mountain View Mennonite Cemetery.
Milton Schauble peacefully passed away at home in Post Falls on October 10, 2021, of congestive heart failure. A Funeral Mass with a Military Funeral Honors Ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 22, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, 919 East Indiana Street, Coeur d'Alene.

Cecil Lyle Holmes was born to James Otto Holmes and Eva Mae Walt Holmes on September 30, 1925, in Gove County, Kansas, the third of four children. He died October 3, 2021, in Spokane. Cecil will be laid to rest at Grandview Cemetery. The family plans a private service at a later date.
October 11
Clee Hollice Cossairt passed away Saturday, October 2nd, 2021 at home in Bonners Ferry. There will be no service. He was born in Naples November 19, 1933, to Cecil and Carol (Aldridge) Cossairt. He attended several schools including Highland Flats, Moravia, Spokane, Naples and graduated from Bonners Ferry High School, Class of 1951.
Dwain McGinnis, 76, died October 1, 2021, at Boundary Community Hospital, Bonners Ferry, from complications of lung cancer. His wife and best friend, Kathy, was at his side. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 16, at United Methodist Church, 6568 Lincoln Street, Bonners Ferry. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.
October 10
Phyllis Ann Wester, 91, born in Bonners Ferry in 1921, died September 20, 2021. At her request, Phyllis will be cremated and a memorial service will be scheduled sometime in the spring of 2022 when larger indoor gatherings become safer.
October 3
Jennifer Joyce Woodward was born July 6, 1972. She died peacefully with God at home in Wichita, Kansas, September 30, 2021. Born in Tennessee to David and Joyce Woodward, the family moved to Bonners Ferry in 1981, where she graduated from the high school in 1990.
October 2
Fred “Papa” Anton Ellis’ generosity is legendary. He gave to his family, he gave to his community, and he gave to God. Fred passed away from Covid-19 on September 23, 2021, in Kootenai Health, Coeur d’Alene. He was 63 years old. There will be a Celebration of Life service at 1 p.m. Saturday, October 23, at 27769 West Highway 53, Hauser, Idaho.
Richard Earl McGary was born in Naples, Texas, July 15, 1941, one of two sons born to Alfred Allen McGary and Gladys Fowler. He died September 24, 2021, in Ronan, Montana. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, October 3, at Foster's Funeral Home, 216 Project Drive, St. Ignatius, Montana.
