Lawrence
Joseph Brewer was born October 9, 1961, to Russell
and Karen (Liston) Brewer in Sioux City, Iowa and passed away
November 11, 2021, in Bonners Ferry. A celebration of life for
Larry and his son Joey will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16,
at 62 Rocking Tree Road, Bonners ferry. All who knew him are
welcome to come. |
Joseph
Nathaniel Brewer was born June 10, 1994, to Larry
Brewer and Debra Henderson. He passed away peacefully on March 11,
2022, from his third battle with cancer. Those of you who knew
Joey are invited to his and his father's life celebration at 2
p.m. Saturday, July 16, at 62 Rocking Tree Road, Bonners Ferry. |

William
Warren Swartz took his last breath on June 22,2022.
Warren, as he was always called, was the son of Daniel L. Swartz
and Louise M. Stewart Swartz, born on November 15, 1927, in the
house built by his maternal grandparents near Daisy, Washington.
The doctor who delivered him had delivered his mother in the same
house 26 years earlier. |

Jeffery Jerome Jordan, 63, died peacefully at
home in Bonners Ferry on June 24, 2022, surrounded by his family.
Jeff was born on August 31, 1958, in Lucerne, California, the son
of Robert and Millie Jordan Barrett. No services are planned at
this time. |

Lana DeBoer Brady, 60, said goodbye as she left us early
Tuesday morning, September 21, 2021. A celebration of her
wonderful life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at the
Kootenai River Inn, 7169 Plaza Street, Bonners Ferry. Her family
would love for you to join them and share your stories and
favorite memories of Alana. |

James G. "Jim"
Tolle, 85, died on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Libby
Care Center. No services are planned. He was born on February 14,
1937, in Ohio to James and Alice Tolle. Jim was stationed at the
Air Force Radar Base in the Yaak in 1955. He went to Bonners Ferry
with his friends to have some fun and that is where he met the
dream girl of his life, Maryann Rose Eby. |

Brenda Antoinette
Dirks passed away surrounded by her loved ones on
June 7, 2022. Brenda was born August 25, 1957, to Ben and Blanche
Studer. Private family services will be held. |

Francis Peter Winey, 93, passed away peacefully
on June 6, 2022, at Sunset Home in Bonners Ferry, surrounded by
family. Viewing will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 8,
at the Bonners Ferry Funeral Home, 6485 Harrison Street. Graveside
services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 9, at Grandview
Cemetery. |

"Bill" Vernon Vetter was born in Bonners Ferry on
October 24, 1942, to Vernon and Carlene Vetter. He passed away on
May 25, 2022, in Houston, Texas at the age of 79. Bill attended
grade school at Mount Hall and graduated in 1961 from Bonners
Ferry High School. After high school, he attended college to study
law and received his Master’s Degree. |

Susan
Carol "Sue" Howe finally lost her 45-year battle with
MS at age 77 on May 28, 2022, after being airlifted from Boundary
Community Hospital to Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene. No public
memorial services are planned at this time, and Grandview Cemetery
burial services will be announced at a future date. Even though
her body failed, her spirit never faltered. Sue, loved by all that
met her, will be dearly missed. |

Josephine
Isabelle Abraham, 17, died in Coeur d'Alene on May
28, 2022. Josephine was born on June 2, 2004, in Sandpoint, the
daughter of Aaron Francis and Twyla Basil. Viewing will be held at
4 p.m. Thursday, June 2, with the vigil starting at 8 p.m. at the
Kootenai Tribal Headquarters. Funeral Services will be held at 11
a.m. Friday, June 3, with last viewing starting at 10 a.m. Burial
will follow at St. Michael's Mission Cemetery. |

Ashley M. Brady, 33, passed away peacefully at
her Bonners Ferry home on May 23, 2022, surrounded by her family.
Ashley was born January 10, 1989, the daughter of Charles "Chuck"
Jones and Margaret Sieber in Aurora, Colorado. Services will be
announced at a later date. |
Patricia "Patti" Preston, 66, passed away at her
home May 23, 2022, in Bonners Ferry. Patti was born in Chicago
February 6, 1956. No services are planned at this time. |

Myrna Lavey
Phillips Carlson Watkins, 86, Bonners Ferry, passed
away May 5, 2022. She was born August 15, 1935, in Mesa, Idaho, to
Leslie (Jack) and Almeda Phillips. Funeral services will take
place at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 14 at Trinity Lutheran Church,
6784 Cody Street, Bonners Ferry. Burial Services will be held at
the Grandview Cemetery following the funeral service. |

Carol
Kristin “Kris” Lefebvre (Chubb) succumbed to cancer
with her husband John at her side May 4, 2022. A memorial is
planned for July 7, 2022 at Kris and John’s home. Kris was born in
Bonners Ferry December 23, 1948, to Bill and Carol Chubb and lived
in Bonners Ferry until graduating high school in 1967. She met her
future husband John at a dance in 1964 in the parking lot next to
what is now Larson’s. |

Randine Ballinger passed away peacefully in her house
in Fleming Island, Florida, on March 8, 2022, surrounded by her
loved ones. A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday,
May 21, at Advent Lutheran Church, 2156 Loch Rane Boulevard,
Orange Park, Florida. |
Joseph
Thomas Richardson, 93, passed away peacefully in the
early morning hours on April 24 from COPD. His last week was spent
with various members of his family as he transitioned to his
heavenly home. He was playful, loving and gentle during this
transition. It was very much a reflection of who he was throughout
his life. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. |

Katie
Sherman of Bonners Ferry died on April 18, 2022, at
Mountain Valley of Cascadia Nursing Home in Kellogg, where she had
been lovingly cared for by nurses, doctors and professional
caregivers. She loved the people there and her beautiful view of
the mountains. Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday,
May 14, at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home, 6485 Harrison Street. |

R. Bennett Sr. passed away peacefully at Kootenai
Health in Coeur d’Alene surrounded by family on April 21, 2022, at
the age of 73. Services will be held at noon Saturday, April 30,
at First Baptist Church, 6711 El Paso Street, Bonners Ferry.
Potluck to follow, as well as sharing happy memories. |

Merle Salyards passed away at the robust age of 100
on April 9, 2022, at Sunset Home Assisted Living in Bonners Ferry.
Her daughter, RaNae, was at her side when she passed of natural
causes. Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at
Riverside Cemetery, 1969 North River Road, Payette. |

Carol Jean Pomeroy, 92, died at her home at the Restorium in
Bonners Ferry on November 25, 2021. A Celebration of Life
gathering will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 16, at Trinity
Lutheran Church, 6784 Cody Street, Bonners Ferry. |
Evelyn
Marie Stanczak was welcomed to heaven Thursday, April
7, 2022. A memorial service will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 19,
at Trinity Baptist Church, 711 Fairview Drive, Moscow. She was
born to Frank and Irene Florea in Hopkins, Missouri, on September
8, 1927, the third of 11 children. The family moved to Bonners
Ferry in 1938, where she graduated from high school in 1945. |

R. Mead, 68, passed away on Wednesday, March 30,
2022, at his home in Hope, Idaho, surrounded by his loving family.
A private family service will be held at a later date. |
Monica
May Abraham, 20, passed away at home on April 11,
2022, in Bonners Ferry. Monica was born in Sandpoint on July 13,
2001, the daughter of Aaron and Twyla Basil Francis. Viewing will
be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Kootenai Tribal
Headquarters, with a Rosary starting at 7 p.m. Funeral Services
will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 14, also at Kootenai
Tribal Headquarters. Burial will follow at the St. Michael's
Mission Cemetery. |

Larry Ford Cripe,
79, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at his home in Troy of
natural causes. He was born on February 17, 1943, in Bonners Ferry
to Ford and Edith Cripe. The family plans a service on a future
date. |
Henry Lee Watkins, 68, Bonners Ferry, passed away
at home on April 6, 2022, surrounded by his family. Henry was born
on September 12, 1953, the son of Lonnie and Wilma Smith Watkins,
in California. There will be no services at this time. |

Dixie Ann West, 85, died March 29, 2022 at
Kootenai Health in Coeur d'Alene. Dixie was born on Mary 20, 1936,
the daughter of Bernard and Carrah Smith Jansen in Estherville,
Iowa. No service is planned. |

Loretta Elaine Bliss, 74, died peacefully at her
home on March 28, 2022, in Bonners Ferry. Loretta was born on
November 9, 1947, the daughter of Howard and Lorna Sutton Pfeif in
Yakima, Washington. No services are planned at this time. |
Richard
Lee "Dick" Hollenbeck, 87, died on March 27, 2022 at
his home in Bonners Ferry. Richard was born on September 4, 1934,
the son of Harry and Beula Ferguson Hollenbeck in Bowman, North
Dakota. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7,
in the Becker Auditorium at Bonners Ferry High School. |
Rachel
Dianne Sego Snider peacefully passed away on March
25, 2022, in the comfort of her Bonners Ferry home and onto her
eternal home with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Viewing will
be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, April 7, with her funeral
service following at 7 p.m. at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home, 6485
Harrison Street, Bonners Ferry. Graveside services will be held at
11 a.m. Saturday, April 9, Lee Cemetery, Rosebud County, Montana. |

Kathryn Braatz,
Bonners Ferry, died on December 22, 2021, at her daughter’s home
in Spokane Valley due to complications following surgery in early
October. She was cared for by professional caregivers, Hospice of
Spokane, and her family until her death. A memorial service will
be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 23, at Trinity Lutheran Church,
6784 Cody Street, Bonners Ferry. In lieu of flowers, the family
prefers gifts to the Memorial Fund of Trinity. The gifts will be
used to support the Trinity quilting group and Lutheran Relief
Quilting program which delivers quilts to needy people worldwide. |
Bill
Jack Clark passed peacefully Thursday, March 24,
2022, at the Coeur d'Alene Hospice House with family present after
a gallant battle with lung cancer. A memorial service will be held
at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at United Methodist Church, 6568
Lincoln Street, Bonners Ferry. |

Carol
Dillin passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2022, in
Bonners Ferry with family by her side. A memorial service will be
held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 1, at Grandview Cemetery. Carol was
born on August 31, 1937, in Bonners Ferry, to Edward and Mary
Alice Houck. She grew up with her older brother Edward on the
family farm north of Copeland. She was one of the first students
to attend Mt. Hall School. |
Paul
Steven Perez passed away on March 17, 2022, at
Bozeman Deaconess Hospital in Montana at the age of 61 due to
COVID complications. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m.
Saturday, April 9, at Grandview Cemetery. Everyone is also welcome
to a gathering at the Memorial Hall at the Fairgrounds following
the service. |

Louise Frazier, 80, of Bonners Ferry, Idaho passed
away March 16, 2022, at the Boundary County Restorium. A memorial
service and inurnment will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26,
at Grandview Cemetery, Bonners Ferry. Family and friends are
invited to a memorial gathering at the Boundary County Fairgrounds
Valley Event Center after the graveside service. |

Gordon
"Gordy" Allured, 68, died peacefully Thursday,
February 24, 2022, at his home in Woodburn, Oregon, after a
courageous 36-year battle with Parkinson’s disease and over six
years with Lewy Body Dementia. A gathering of family and friends
will be scheduled in the future. |
March 18 |
Richard
E. Waterloo passed peacefully in the care of Pacifica
Senior Living in Pinehurst with help of Hospice and wonderful
staff there on March 16, 2022, with his daughter close to him. He
is at peace now and living life as he would like in heaven after a
long battle with Alzheimer’s. Per his request there will be no
service. |

Lee (Allwardt) Priebe, 83, of St. Joseph, Michigan,
passed away Friday, March 11, 2022, at Sunset Home Assisted Living
in Bonners Ferry. A celebration of life service will be at Starks
& Menchinger Chapel & Cremation Services. Burial will follow in
Riverview Cemetery in St. Joseph. |

Lee Holmes, 51, flew “Bat out of Hell” into the
sunset on January 22, 2022. Memorial services will be held at 11
a.m. Saturday, March 26, at Suncrest Worship Center, 6048 Highway
291, Nine Mile Falls, Washington. |

Carl Boss, 74, passed away on March 9, 2022, at
the Boundary County Nursing Home in Bonners Ferry. Carl was born
on June 14, 1947, the son of Carl and Alene Haller Boss in Grand
Junction, Colorado. Services will be held later in the summer. |

"Jim" Roger Hogan, 75, died February 18, 2022.
Respecting his final wishes, cremation will take place and a

William "Dan" Dogherra, Bonners Ferry, beloved
husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother, uncle, nephew, cousin and
friend, passed away February 26, 2022. Dan was born in New London,
Connecticut ("Connecticut Yankee!"), to Santa Cruz natives Donald
Eugene "Don" Dogherra (deceased) and Kathryn Susan "Kay" (Read)

Jeanne (Howe) Sommers, 76, went home to be with Jesus
on March 9, 2022. Claudia was born February 9, 1946, to Clyde and
Helen Howe in Bonners Ferry. A celebration of her life will be
held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at First Baptist Church, 67111
El Paso Street, Bonners Ferry. Graveside service will be held
immediately following at Grandview Cemetery. |
Dorothy Ann Wood, 98, died on March 5, 2022, at
Boundary Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry. Dorothy was born
August 24, 1923, in Woodland, California, to Theodore and Maude
