Sylvia Elaine Rasmussen passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on May 17, 2023, just after her 84th birthday. A Celebration of Life service will be held for Sylvia at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 3, at Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1900 Pine Street, Sandpoint.
It is with great sadness that the family of Cynthia "Cyndi" Keifer announce her passing on May 15, 2023, at the age 65. Mass was celebrated today in memory of Cyndi at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, and she was laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery, Bonners Ferry.
Richard Allen "Dick" Solt, 72, passed away April 29, 2023, at Boundary County Hospital. There will be a private family service at a later date.

Jay H. Thomas, 47, passed away May 21, 2023, at Bonner General Hospital, Sandpoint, after a long battle with multiple sclerosis. Private family services will be held. He was born June 3, 1975, in Madison, Wisconsin, to Earl and Carol (Babington) Thomas. When Jay was two, the family sold their property in Portage, Wisconsin, and moved to Naples

Katherine Elizabeth Raaum died May 19, 2023, at the Scheidmiller Hospice Home in Coeur d’Alene with her family at her side. Katherine was born on May 15, 1941, the daughter of Phillip and Alice Thome Rassier in Grenora, North Dakota. A Rosary will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 25, at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home, 6485 Harrison Street, Bonners Ferry. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, May 26, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 6712 El Paso Street, Bonners Ferry, with burial to follow at Grandview Cemetery.   
Cynthia Leigh Keifer died May 15, 2023, at Kootenai Medical, Coeur d'Alene. She was born on September 24, 1957, the daughter of Leland and Sharon O’Malley Hargrove in Florence, Oregon. Viewing will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home, 6485 Harrison Street. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 25, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 6712 El Paso Street, Bonners Ferry, with burial to follow at Grandview Cemetery.

A celebration of Paul Rawlings amazing life will be held from noon to around 3 p.m. Saturday, June 3, at the Pearl Theater, 7160 Ash Street, Bonners Ferry. Bring pot luck food, drinks and memories to share.

Charlotte Fay (Wood) Morris, Bonners Ferry and formerly of Sandpoint and Chesterton, Indiana, passed away on May 8, 2023, at the age of 96 at the Boundary County Community Restorium.

Waneita Robins, 94, went to meet her Jesus quietly in the early morning hours of May 3, 2023. She was at her home in Moyie Springs. A graveside service, officiated by her nephew, Reverend Steve Berry, will be held at Paradise Valley Cemetery at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 27. The service will be followed by a meal and time of sharing at Mountain Springs Church in Bonners Ferry, beginning at 2 p.m.
Charles Franklin “Chuck” Quillin, 83, passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 15, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 6568 Alderson Lane, Bonners Ferry. Pastor William Henshaw, BridgeWay Assembly of God, will officiate.

Nancy Jean Hill, 69, was born in Bonners Ferry December 3, 1953, the youngest daughter of Leonard and Maxine Kucera. She died February 10, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Yates Funeral Home – Hayden Chapel, 373 E Hayden Avenue, Hayden.

Harry Francis Shearer, 87, Bonners Ferry, was called home to paradise by our lord and savior on April 2, 2023. He passed peacefully at home comforted by his family. Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, May 12, at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 6712 El Paso Street, Bonners Ferry.

Mary Lou Carol Whitney Venard, 70, Bonners Ferry, Idaho passed away on April 6, 2023, surrounded by family. A Celebration of Life potluck will be held at the Boundary County Fairgrounds Pavilion from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, May 20.
William Edward Julian, 91, died April 13, 2023, in Bonners Ferry at his home. William was born on May 21, 1931, in Michigan the son of Harold and Edna Gordon Julian.

Albert Fred Runnells, 88, Bonners Ferry, passed away peacefully at home on April 3, 2023. Al was born January 25, 1935, in Lindsay, California, the youngest of seven children born to Edward Runnells and Leah Runnells, nee Weirick. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Joe B. Gilmer, 85, Troy, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 29, at Troy Community Baptist Church, 725 E Missoula Avenue.

Lloyd Cody Funderburg passed away on March 6, 2023, at the age of 68. Lloyd was born on September 30, 1954, in San Jose, California, to Floyd and Betty Funderburg. per Lloyd's wishes no funeral will be held.

Shane Brown, 30, passed away. This tragic loss is felt by many. He will forever be loved and missed. We will have a Celebration of Life for Shane on May 20, 2023. All are welcome to join us.
Viola "Vi" J. Sims, 93, a longtime Boundary County business woman, died April 10, 2023, in Sandpoint, with her loved ones by her side. Viola was born in Bonners Ferry June 10, 1929, the daughter of Lawrence and Dora Atkins LaVoie. Services and a full obituary are pending.

Paul Harris Rawlings was born March 1, 1946, and died April 6, 2023, peacefully in his cozy home with his loving wife and family surrounding him. A celebration of his extraordinary life will be planned for this summer.

Richard "Dick" Alvin Dawson, 87, passed away at his home near Bonners Ferry on April 1, 2023. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 21, in the Becker Auditorium at Bonners Ferry High School.

Leah Shawn Anderson, 58, Bonners Ferry, passed away on March 5, 2023, after a long and courageous fight against cancer. Born on August 12, 1964, Leah attended schools in Bonners Ferry graduating with the class of 1982. She worked for many years in the restaurant industry and retired from Boundary County School District.

Deborah Ann Davis, 69, passed away in her home on March 14, 2023. Debi was born in San Francisco, California, on January 21, 1954, to Winona and Leland Butcher. Her life will be honored with a simple graveside service at Grandview Cemetery, Bonners Ferry, at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 1.
James P. Manley passed away peacefully on March 26, 2023 at Ivy Court in Coeur d’Alene. Beloved son, father, brother and grandpa. May you rest in peace. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 12, at Bonners Ferry Funeral Home.

William Edward "Bill" Kizer, 80, Bonners Ferry, died of natural causes on March 4, 2023, at his daughter’s home in St. Ignatius, Montana. A private graveside service will be held on April 8, 2023. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Northwoods Tavern, 461 Deep Creek Loop, Naples.

Cynthia “Cindy” Wagner, Bonners Ferry, died March 19, 2023, at Sacred Heart Medical Center, Spokane, with her family by her side. Cindy was born on March 16, 1962, the daughter of David and Diane Freeman Wagner, in Bremerton, Washington. No services are planned.

John Campbell Schooley, 59, passed away on March 16, 2023 due to multiple health issues. A service will be held for John at noon Friday, March 24, at the LDS Church, 6568 Alderson Lane, Bonners Ferry. A Bay Area memorial service will be planned for July 15, 2023.

Margaret Ellen (Gilligan) Alt, born February 5, 1940 in Yonkers, New York, died on March 15, 2023 in Post Falls, Idaho. Margaret was born to James T. and Marion P. Gilligan. Please join us in celebrating Margaret’s life at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 25, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 601 S Lincoln Avenue, Sandpoint.
Stanley Knight died March 1, 2023, in Bonners Ferry, at his home surrounded by his family. Stanley was born on April 2, 1937, in Birkenhead, England, the son of Stanley and Phoebe Davies Knight. No services are planned at this time.

John Read Schlener died March 14, 2023, at his home in Bonners Ferry. John was born on May 21, 1944, at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida, the son of John and Frances Read Schlener. Funeral services to be announced.

Allen Wayne Allison died March 12, 2023, in Moyie Springs, surrounded by his family. Wayne was born on December 21, 1934, in Grand Island, Nebraska, the son of Ira and Lurlene Whitney Allison. No services are planned at this time.

Kristie Barton passed away on February 17, 2023, in Roseville, California, with family by her side. Memorial Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 25, at United Methodist Church, 6568 Lincoln Street, Bonners Ferry.
Lillian Virginia Brackebusch, 92, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2023, at Sunset Home in Bonners Ferry. We were blessed to have her for so many years ...so many good years. But this life is not forever, and now we must accept that God decided it was time to call her home. No services are planned at this time.

Billy Wayne Gorman, 90, passed away on February 8, 2023, in Bonners Ferry. A Celebration of Bill’s life will take place at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 15, at First Baptist Church in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The memorial will be viewable online in Bonners Ferry at 528 Scenic Drive at 10 a.m. local time.

Sharon Lynn Burney passed away peacefully on February 3, 2023 surrounded by her family. Sharon was born March 5, 1942, in South Gate, California, to Harold and Lillian Rogers. There will be a memorial and celebration of life this summer to be announced at a later date.

Barbara Jo (Foster) Dinning, 87, passed away peacefully at Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene with family by her side on February 20, 2023. A memorial and celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Daryl R. Anderson, 77, Libby, passed away at his home Sunday, February 19, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 29, 1945, in Bonners Ferry to Garland and Belle (Cummings) Anderson. Services for Daryl were held February 25 at Libby Christian Church, 100 Kootenai River Road.
Michelle Ann Colaianni, born April 28, 1989, to William Colaianni and Diane Gialombardo left her worldly body February 17, 2023, and is now wrapped in the arms of our sweet Jesus. Michelle loved Montana, loved her family, her dogs, chickens, turkeys, and friends. Being outdoors and riding in her side-by-side, fishing in the Kootenai, under the old bridge, or at Alvord Lake, is where she could be found most times. Side-by-side rides to Spar Lake, China Mountain, or even back roads to Bonners were her quiet peace rides.

Barbara Jean Brown passed away peacefully February 22, 2023, with her family and friends surrounding her. She was born to Madeline and John Kaus on November 26, 1945, in Newport, Washington. The Priest River Mortuary, 43 Wisconsin Street, Priest River, will hold a viewing at 10 a.m. Friday, March 3, with graveside services at 11 a.m.

Alice Katherine (Fox) Sandaker, 92, passed away peacefully at home in Bonners Ferry with her family by her side on Feb 12, 2023. At her request no services will be held.

Darrell Dean Chronister, 88, passed away February 16, 2023, at his home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho was an only child, born on January 25, 1935, to John and Ella Mae (Hazelrigg) Chronister in Savannah, Missouri. He spent most of his life in the Kansas City, Missouri, area. He worked for a Ford dealership for 19 years as a service writer and assistant manager, until his diagnosis of Retinitis Pigmentosa.

Alice Wright passed away on February 15, 2023, at The Schneidmiller House in Coeur d'Alene. She was born on June 28, 1939, in California, the daughter of Joseph and Evelyn Silviera. No services are planned at this time.

Lillian Brackebusch died February 14, 2023, in Bonners Ferry, at Sunset Home Assisted Living. Lillian was born on March 8, 1930, in Sauk Rapids, Minnesota, the daughter of Phillip and Margaret Jurek Rau.

Douglas Leroy Shaffer, born April 4, 1950, in Paso Robles, California, danced into the arms of Jesus on January 16, 2023, at the age of 72, after a long battle against cancer. He passed away at his home in Bonners Ferry, surrounded by family.
Steven Ray Gorton died suddenly on February 4, 2023. He was born to Ray and Alene Marie Gorton on February 21, 1961 in San Jose, California, where his father worked for Qantas Airlines. A memorial service will be held at Mountain View Mennonite Church in Bonners Ferry at 2 p.m. Friday, February 10. Out of town family and friends can call (208) 427-2040 to listen to the service.

Starla Ann Jasper died January 26, 2023, at the Community Restorium in Bonners Ferry with her family by her side. Starla was born on November 22, 1956, in Spokane, the daughter of Leslie and Alice Clark Stiles.

Channing “Chan” Eugene Nagel passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, at Boundary Community Hospital in Bonners Ferry. No services are scheduled at this time. Chan was born April 11, 1943, in Bonners Ferry to Shirleigh Ione (Peterson) Nagel and Eugene Channing Nagel. Chan grew up in Boundary County, spending time with his grandparents and countless hours fishing the Kootenai River with his uncles, Pete and Jerry Peterson.

Vondee Drumm, 82, a resident of Bonners Ferry, sadly passed away on December 23, 2022. She was born in Sacramento, California, on November 13, 1940. Vondee’s funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 3, at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, California, with a celebration of her life to follow.

Richard Bruce Baker, 93, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away peacefully at home with family on January 7, 2023. Born June 14, 1929, at home to Robert and Emma Baker near Homestead, Montana. He completed school through the eighth grade until work on the family farm became a priority.

Blanche Antoinette (Larson) Studer passed away January 15, 2023, in Bonners Ferry. A memorial service will be held at 9 a.m. Saturday, January 28, at the United Methodist Church, 6568 Lincoln Street, Bonners Ferry, with a reception following.

John A. Brussman passed away peacefully at his home in Reno, Nevada, on October 30, 2022, with loving friends by his side. He was preceded in death by his parents, his aunt and uncle who raised him, his sister and his two beautiful wives, Jaclyn nee Drui and Martha nee Anton.

Dick Baker died January 7, 2023, at his home in Bonners Ferry, surrounded by family. Dick was born on June 14, 1929, in Homestead, Montana, the son of Robert and Emma Schad Baker. There will be no services at this time.

Timothy Lynn Harlan, 65, passed away peacefully at 4 p.m. Friday, December 30, 2022, surrounded by his family. A celebration of Tim's life will be held at the Bonners Ferry Seventh Day Adventist Church at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, January 14.

Daniel Joseph Meddock, 78, kind and loving husband, family man and loyal friend passed away peacefully September 12, 2022, in Salem, Oregon, from multiple myeloma cancer. A celebration of life will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 23, in Bonners Ferry in the Exhibit Hall at the Boundary County Fairgrounds.

Charles Joseph Dangel died following illness December 23, 2022, in Bonners Ferry. Charles, the husband of Cheryl Dangel, was born on September 19, 1946, in Wilmington, Delaware, the son of Karl and Anna Munden Dangel. Bonners Ferry Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.

Tim Quesnel died suddenly at the age of 60  on December 9, 2022. He leaves behind his wife Sheryl, his daughter Abigail, his son Ian, his son-in-law Spencer, two brothers Todd and Terry, and his step-mom Phyllis. We will all unite to enjoy a Celebration of Tim’s life at Becker Auditorium at 1 p.m. Saturday January 7. Please join us.
