Vivian (Vetter) Doll passed away in Las Vegas, Nevada, October 10, 2021. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 30, at Holy Cross Cemetery, Spokane. Vivian was born in Bonners Ferry July 4, 1948, to Vern and Carlene Vetter. She attended school in Bonners Ferry, Wallace, Payette and Post Falls. Vivian graduated from Post Falls High School in 1966. She attended Kinman Business School in Spokane, excelling in shorthand. Vivian moved to Seattle to work as a secretary for Boeing. Due to health issues, she moved back to Post Falls and worked as a teacher’s aide at Post Falls High School. She met Vernon Doll in Spokane at a square dance and they were married January 11, 1974, in Post Falls. The couple moved to the Seattle area where Vivian was fortunate to be a stay at home Mom after the birth of the twins, Julie and Wesley, in 1977. The family continued to live in the Seattle area until Vern retired from Boeing in 2000. After his retirement, they purchased an RV and travelled around the United States for the next 12 years, finally planting roots in the Las Vegas area. Vivian enjoyed square dancing, crafts, word search puzzles, card and dice games and was an avid reader. Vivian is survived by her husband Vern, daughter Julie, son Wesley, stepsons Kevin and Brent, nine grandchildren, brother Bill Vetter and sisters Lynnel Wassmuth and Sharon McNair. |
