Denise Yvonne Overton

Denise Yvonne Overton, 52, Spokane, passed away after a medical emergency while serving time on a drug conviction in the Boundary County Jail on October 28, 2022. A memorial service is being planned for the spring of 2023.

She was born to Roy and Yvonne Overton on May, 14, 1970 in Waco, Texas. She graduated from Snyder High in 1988 and Western Texas College in 1991.

Her love and passion for helping others really shined all throughout her life and nursing career, including her time at the Spokane County Health Department and Eastern State Hospital after moving to Spokane in 1999.

With a heart as big as Texas, Denise cherished all time spent with her beloved family and friends. She was one of life's great pleasures to have had the chance to know. Everyone could count on her for a sound ear, some wise advice and a good time.

She is survived by her daughter, Savanna Sawyer, brothers Roger, John and Roy Overton and many nieces and nephews. Denise is preceded in death by her parents, Roy E. Overton and Yvonne G. Overton as well as brother Michael Overton.
