Cynthia 'Cyndi' Keifer

May 25, 2023

It is with great sadness that the family of Cynthia "Cyndi" Keifer announce her passing on May 15, 2023, at the age 65. Mass was celebrated today in memory of Cyndi at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, and she was laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery, Bonners Ferry.

Cyndi was born on September 24, 1957, in Florence Oregon. She was the first child of Lee and Sharon Hargrove.

Cyndi grew up in Klamath Falls and Grants Pass, Oregon. In high school, she met and dated the love of her life, Patrick. They were married in 1974 and soon after, their first son Michael was born. The new family moved to Livermore, California in 1975, where they stayed for nearly 40 years. Cyndi brought another son, Brian, into the world in 1977.

Although Cyndi loved to be at home with her children, she decided to enter the job market. After trying her hand at a few different things, Cyndi found her career at Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, where she worked for almost 25 years before retiring.

Sister Lori said Cyndi was smart, popular in school, athletic and outdoorsy. Brother Leland shared Cyndi was a good mother and a strong advocate.

Cyndi enjoyed cycling, hunting, reading, traveling, gardening, and church. A strong woman of faith, she drew on the strength and love of God.

Cyndi was preceded in death by her father Lee. She will be forever remembered by her husband Patrick, mother Sharon, sister Lori, brother Leland, son Michael and wife Jennifer, son Brian, four grandchildren as well as many other friends and family.
