Arminda Thompson

Arminda Thompson, 97, died peacefully on October 25, 2023 at Boundary County Nursing Home in Bonners Ferry. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 8, at St. Ann’s Catholic Church, 6712 El Paso Street, Bonners Ferry. She will be buried with her husband at Grandview Cemetery. A luncheon will follow burial at St. Ann’s Catholic Church for family and friends.

Arminda was born on April 16, 1926, in Arcos de Sao Pedro, Portugal, the daughter of Armindo Goncalves and Laura Da Silva. She met Wyman Thompson while he was stationed in Revin, France, while serving in the U.S. Army and were married on October 8, 1945. They had four children together, Walter, Wyman James Jr. (Jim), Flora Jane (Janie), and Laura Sue (Susie).

Wyman proceeded Arminda in death on December 9, 1992, as well as three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Wally, Jim, Janie, and Susie. She has four living grandchildren, Mindy, Valerie, Janell, and Paul James.
