Turkeys and hams, oh my! BCMS wins in 2021

December 29, 2021

Boundary County School District 101 Superintendent Jan Bayer, on behalf of the school board, the Bonners Ferry Ministerial Association and all the many families whose Christmas was blessed with bounty, sends a heartfelt thank you to leadership students at Bonners Ferry High School and Boundary County Middle School for collecting turkeys and hams for our community.

Collectively, they were able to donate 79 hams and 23 turkeys. Once again, the middle school won the friendly competition by collecting 48 hams and 15 turkeys.

The baskets using the donated hams and turkeys were distributed throughout the community by the ministerial association, so families throughout the community had a Christmas meal.

Special thanks go out to leadership teachers Kelly Hinthorn, Abigail Panabaker and Jaycee Aitkens, who are guiding students on the importance of giving back to the community that cares so much about them.
