By Principal Kylee Guthrie
Kari embodies the trait of being a lifelong learner - she is always on the hunt for opportunities to learn and grow. She seeks out and engages in professional development every chance that she gets. She is instrumental in the success of our students by taking on the role of Kindergarten Lead Teacher for Boundary County School District and is a mentor for new teachers in our building.
Ms. Dameron fiercely advocates for student needs while being a caring professional. If a parent or student needs assistance, Ms. Dameron will happily come alongside and fill that need as best as she can.
An example of this is her dedication to the BoCo Food Program that supplies students in our district with food on Thursdays that they can take home for the weekend. She plays a role by picking up the food so that it’s sent home with students.
Ms. Dameron often steps up when help is needed and is supportive of everyone that she works with. There have been several projects that have benefited students at Mt. Hall that Ms. Dameron’s vision and collaboration with the community have been instrumental in. Some prime examples include the Outdoor Classroom and the Little Free Library.
When asked about what they love about their teacher, her kindergarten students said that she’s very funny, she is nice, and that she teaches them - they especially love when she teaches them counting. Our Mt. Hall students are so fortunate that they are getting a strong foundation in their education from their outstanding kindergarten teacher.
Ms. Dameron has said that her favorite thing about her role is seeing students grow and learn. They never cease to amaze her. When she isn’t busy teaching, Ms. Dameron and her family love to do all things outdoors. They especially enjoy going on hikes and playing on the water with friends.
Mt. Hall is so lucky and grateful to have Kari Dameron on our team!
