Boundary County Victims Services needs you

October 15, 2022

Many of you have been loyal attendees and contributors to the Boundary County Victim Services (BCVS) Fall Festival & Fashion Show. We are excited to be back together this year for an evening of fashion, food, fun, and fantastic auction items!

This year, the fundraiser will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday, October 22, at the Great Northwest Territories Event Center, 998 Mountain Meadows Road, Naples. Doors open at 5 p.m. Tickets are available for $20 at Bonners Books, The Dressing Room, and Under the Sun, or at the door for $25 each until we sell out.

The need for assistance for cri5me victims and their families remains elevated in this community. In fact, BCVS continues to see a huge increase in the number of individuals seeking assistance, especially crimes involving children. Having our annual fundraiser in October allows us an opportunity to honor Domestic Violence Awareness Month as well!

The uncertainty and stress in communities these days have added new layers to the patterns of power and control in violent relationships as well as new barriers to those seeking safety. BCVS has increased the number of advocate hours and services to better meet the rising needs.

As many of you know, Boundary County Victim Services is a non-profit which provides services to victims of crime and their families when they are seeking assistance. They support victims of all crimes, but the majority of their work surrounds supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and child abuse.

The goal of the Fall Festival is to raise funding and awareness surrounding the struggles and realities survivors and their families are faced with.

Funds raised will go directly to those working with BCVS. Your donations help cover core services, like emergency shelter and counseling for those in crisis when unforeseen circumstances, like a pandemic, escalate needs beyond grant funding.

We encourage everyone from the conmunity to participate by donating an item, a skill, donating monetarily or bidding on the items available in the live or silent auctions.

BCVS is eternally grateful for the support this community has shown for their mission, goals and the residents of Boundary County for the past 34 years. This work is not possible without you.
