Missing Buddhist monk may be in North Idaho

The search continues for a 64-year-old Buddhist monk reported missing November 7 from the Srvasti Abbey in Newport, Washington, having gone for a walk after lunch and failing to have returned. There have been unconfirmed reports that he may be in North Idaho. The family of scholar and geshe Dadul Namgyal has offered a $25,000 reward for information leading to his recovery.

Namgal was last seen at the abbey, 692 Country Lane, wearing maroon robes and a jacket. He is five feet, two inches tall and weighs about 135 pounds.
