Bonners Ferry Bridge Club offering lessons

Bridge handHaving started the Bonners Ferry Bridge Club 12 years ago, Marlene Manion and Mark Hatten are once again seeking to fill seats at their weekly games by offering lessons in duplicate bridge to new players beginning in mid-January. Duplicate bridge is a card game of skill played in clubs and tournaments. Instead of shuffling the cards between each deal, the hands are preserved and played by every pair or team. Then the teams’ relative performances are judged.

Lessons will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesdays in the Senior Hospitality Center, 6635 Lincoln Street, Bonners Ferry. Both Marlene and Mark are American Contract Bridge League certified instructors, ensuring that those who learn and come to love the game will be able to find and join games and tournaments almost anywhere in the world.

Cost is $5 per person per lesson. To register or learn more, call (208) 267-3906 or email ko.ot.fleur@hotmail.com.

Those who already play duplicate bridge are cordially invited to join the bridge club and join in each week at noon in the VFW Hall, also at 6635 Lincoln Street, Bonners Ferry.
