A citizen called Lincoln County Sheriff’s dispatch at 10:01a.m. Tuesday and reported finding Johnnie Hantz deceased in the Huson Peak area off Quartz Creek Road, his Can Am side by side and his dog Chester, who was alive. The individual gave directions to the scene, then took Chester to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies responded to the scene and oversaw the recovery of Hantz’s body and the Can Am, and notified Hantz’s family.
