The National Weather Service, Spokane, has issued a winter weather advisory for North Idaho and northeast Washington for mixed glop to make roads slick and travel dangerous through noon Sunday. Freezing rain intermixed with occasional snow are expected to drop less than an inch of sloppy valley snow and a layer of glaze ice of less than a tenth of an inch.
Slippery conditions will be especially noticeable on bridges and overpasses, and motorists are advised to leave early, drive slower and increase distance between your car and the car ahead. Pedestrians should likewise exercise extra care on stairs, sidewalks and driveways to avoid falls.
