The Badger JV boys hosted the Priest River Spartans in a doubleheader Tuesday that saw a little bit of all four seasons over the span of 14 innings; sun, rain, wind and snow, but they stayed focused despite the blustery weather, winning both, 5-1/17-6.
In game one, back-to-back pickles in the bottom of the fifth inning added unexpected excitement to the game, with the Badgers winning both, one saving a run, the other putting a Spartan out at third.
Game two opened with a pop fly to centerfield off the first pitch, which was brought down in beautiful style by Badger Maddox Ostberg, setting the tone for the entire game, which ended in the fifth inning for the Badgers on the 10 run rule.
The Badgers travel to Lincoln County High School, Eureka, Montana, on Saturday. JV action begins at 11 a.m. Pacific, varsity plays a double header beginning at 1 p.m. Pacific.
