Hired in August, 1997, today was the last day of a wild and wonderful tenure spanning just over a quarter of a century of service to both Boundary County School District 101 in particular and Boundary County and its youth in general, as Marianne Hale, head of the district payroll and personnel office, joins her husband, Roy, in the wonderful world of retirement!
” I cannot think of any better place to have spent most of my working days,” Marianne said. “The friendships created, the challenges overcome, the children who I watched grow, and the IRS guy who saved my bacon! Wow! What a terrific ride!”
