Nancy Marie Wagner, 66, passed away on May 6, 2024. She leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will forever be cherished by her family and friends. A Celebration of Nancy’s life will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. June 22, in the banquet room at Mugsy’s, 7161 Main Street. All are welcome and encouraged to bring a memory to share!
A lover of both the great outdoors and the simple pleasures of life, Nancy found delight in gardening, huckleberry picking, hunting and camping in her younger years. She had quite the green thumb and doted on her roses and numerous houseplants.
Nancy also had a talent for canning, preserving the flavors of the season to be enjoyed year-round. In her quieter moments, Nancy could be found with her nose buried in a good book- she especially loved Stephen King. She had a crafty side and a deep love of animals, spoiling many pets over the years including dogs, cats, fish and even birds!
Nancy had many endearing attributes and was always thinking of others. She had a knack for always buying cards and gifts well in advance … but not necessarily getting them to the intended recipient on time!
She was quick to offer sound, wise advice; sometimes with a quirky quote attributed to her father, Fred, who she admired greatly. Her father also taught her many mechanical and construction skills that she used throughout her life. Nancy will be remembered for her sense of fairness and justice and always standing up for what she believed in. Some of the best lessons she taught her daughters were to always be kind, empathetic and without exception, to use manners!
Her childhood was far from easy, so an important lesson she bestowed was to never judge others as you never know their circumstances.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Laura Felch, and siblings Larry, Linda and Jim. Nancy is survived by her three daughters, Tammy Brizendine (Neumeyer) , Kristina Westbrook (Neumeyer), and Laura Kimball (Neumeyer), her grandchildren (whom she adored endlessly), Nicholas, Brandon, Peyton, Sydni and Rylie, her sister Carla, sister-in-law Linda, many nieces and nephews, and her beloved dog, Boo.
