The Board of Directors of the North Bench Fire District is pleased to announce the appointment of Ken Baker as Chief of the North Bench Volunteer Fire Department. The appointment was made during the June Board of Directors meeting and is effective immediately.
Chief Baker brings extensive leadership experience in fire prevention, firefighting, emergency medical service, training and administration to the Department. He has previously served with the City of Bonners Ferry as Fire Captain and as Emergency Medical Service Chief with Boundary Volunteer Ambulance.
His responsibilities at North Bench include coordination of fire prevention and fire suppression activities, structural assessment, rescue, emergency medical response, hazardous materials response, recruitment, training, equipment maintenance, administration and public outreach.
