Remembering a life well lived

A good part of the old courthouse contingent gathered today with an even larger “old team” of family, friends and neighbors to fill the Bonners Ferry Eagles in remembering Tom Ulappa, who died June 12, a singular gentleman of strong conviction coupled with a true empathy and a sense of humor that endeared him to a widely diverse collection of people brought together as friends.

The courthouse contingent, all now retired, is ( l-r) bailiff Ron Sukenik, appraisers Ken Carpenter and Les Vetter, zoning administrator and PIO Mike Weland, auto licensing supervisor Linda Alt, treasurer Wilma DeVore and appraiser/zoning administrator Jeannie Adams.

Tom’s daughter, Amy, and her family came up from Boise, and she graciously thanked all who attended. Special thanks go out to Cal and Barb Russell, who coordinated the remembrance of a life well lived, and to the Eagles Club staff for the beautiful job setting up and decorating.
