Virtual meeting set on BCSD 101 online school

By Superintendent Jan Bayer

Boundary County School District #101 continuously strives to achieve our mission of making all children in our community lifelong learners and contributing members of society. As we all learn and grow, we realize there are several ways to achieve our mission. In collaboration with families, we believe it is important to provide options. We love all our schools, yet we learned a valuable lesson during and after COVID.

We needed to provide an additional option for parents/guardians in Boundary County to support their children academically. We have officially opened Boundary County Online School in collaboration with Overture Learning.

To learn more about Boundary County Online School, please visit https://www.overturelearning.com/boundarycountyonline. The school will serve children in kindergarten through eighth grade. We have three teachers working collaboratively with Overture to collaborate with parents/guardians: Mrs. Melissa Bateman, Mr. Matt Dinning, and Mrs. Robin Merrifield. We have 100 student slots available for the 2024-2025 school year.

A virtual informational meeting will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 25, at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/2089087512.

We believe the partnership between Boundary County School District and Overture Learning, an Idaho based company with over 8 years of experience, will academically benefit and support any family choosing this path.
