Kokanee Coffee now thriving where Mojo’s once stood

One of Bonner’s Ferry’s most popular coffee stands has a new owner. Kokanee Coffee is now operating the former Mojo’s Coffee stand in the Super One Bonners Ferry parking lot. Owners Kelly and Eric Thompson have been in the coffee business for over four years locally and are excited to bring the Kokanee coffee brand to the Bonners Ferry area.

When the opportunity arose to transition the torch from Mojo’s to Kokanee Coffee, Kelly jumped at the chance to step in to the stand. The uniqueness of the small town, conservative community, family, faith and freedom are close to her heart. Her grandfather grew up in Bonners Ferry. Her family is third-generation, owning logging and quarry companies. Kelly plans to embrace the culture and celebrate the Bonners Ferry heritage.

“I grew up in a very small town and the community roots, family values, and small town energy of Bonners Ferry resonates with my heart,” says Kelly. “These people are my people.”

Kelly plans to operate the stand with these values in mind, serving people coffee with a smile, and a heart geared toward following God and being a part of the local community. As a veteran owned and operated company, Kokanee is pleased to offer a 10-percent discount all day every day to military, police and fire personnel as a small thank you for their service.

Many of the previous Mojo staff are still working there, bringing their smiles and coffee expertise everyday. A few new faces have also joined the crew, including stand manager Kaylee, who brings her coffee experience and leadership to the stand.

Kokanee Coffee, 6494-6598 Main Street, Bonners Ferry, is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. weekends.
