In honor of those whose lives were lost or permanently impacted on September 11, 2001, the Boundary County Chaplain Corps is sponsoring a local commemoration at the Boundary County Fairgrounds Pavilion at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, September 11.
Representatives of emergency services agencies will be in attendance, and the public is urged to attend as we remember and reflect upon one of the most momentous days in our national history.
The commemoration will feature a tolling of the bells to honor those who died at the twin towers in New York, at the Pentagon, at Shanksville, Pennsylvania, and the first responders that perished in New York that horrific day. The Boundary County Fire Rescue Honor Guard will present the colors.
Please come and join with your neighbors as Boundary County honors the courage in the face of tragedy that was so abundantly seen in the events of 9/11. The venue is covered, and the event will take place rain or shine. Seating will be available. For more information, please contact Chaplain Len Pine at (208) 946-9761.
