The seventh and last Second Harvest truck of the year will be in town distributing food from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, September 19, on the east side of the fairgrounds. People picking up food should enter at the west end of the fairgrounds. This will be a drive up event.
Thrivent Financial has helped sponsor each truck. Other sponsors have included Trinity Lutheran Church, Bonners Ferry Veterinary Clinic and a number of individual donors.
This truck is being sponsored in large part by Second Harvest itself.
All people in need of food are welcome. There is no sign up and there are no residency requirements.
A number of volunteers make these events possible. Trinity Lutheran Church and Echo Springs School especially provide a number of volunteers each month.
