Due to the widespread power outage that is impacting our county, all Boundary County administrative services will be unavailable, as the Courthouse will be closed. The main county landfill will remain open, but the transfer stations will remain closed today.
All Boundary County emergency services (fire, police, emergency medical) and 9-1-1 Dispatch are operating normally.
Power lines are down across the county and Northern Lights (NLI) and City of Bonners Ferry have been making local repairs. However, both systems rely on the Bonneville Power Administration regional transmission circuit that serves our area, which was damaged and must also be repaired before NLI and city power can be restored.
Gas stations do not have power and cannot provide service. The nearest gas station that has power is in Samuels.
Residents with oxygen collection devices who cannot get oxygen or need assistance with their oxygen supply can call Sheriff’s Dispatch at (208) 267-3151, extension 0 to request assistance.
