It will fund teacher salaries, curricular materials, extracurricular activities, and much more. The levy amount has not increased since 2015, a testament to the sound fiscal management of our school district.
The bond is necessary to build a school to replace Valley View. The 75-year-old building has many problems, and it is not a safe place for our students to go to school.
The district has worked hard to reduce the cost of the new building, and state funds will reduce the amount of the bond to $10.5-million. It is an investment in our kids and in the future of our community that we need to make.
Our excellent school administrators, teachers and staff work hard to support our kids, and we need to make sure they have the financial support needed to do their jobs.
We’re voting “Yes” on the levy and the bond because our kids need our support. Please join us on November 5 to do the same.
