Arlene Norwood passed away at the age of 94 at the Boundary County Community Restorium, Bonners Ferry, on October 23, 2024. A Memorial Service will take place at a later date. Arlene was born on September 6, 1930, to Minnie and Samuel Fulgham in Emmett, Idaho.
She married Robert Norwood in Emmett on October 18, 1948, and they were married 57 years. Their three children, Kris (Phil) Schnuerle, Kevin Norwood, and Kim Norwood were all born in Emmett. The Norwood family moved to Bonners Ferry in 1960 and operated a dairy farm in Cow Creek for many years. Arlene was employed at the Boundary County Library and upon retirement she volunteered at Second Chance and the CPA Animal Shelter. Arlene was also a member of the Boundary County Library Board.
Arlene is survived by her three children, Kris (Phil), Kevin, and Kim, two grandchildren, Mike (Paula) Schulte and Steven (Sarah) Schulte, and three great grandchildren, Paisley, Porter and Mason Schulte. She is also survived by her brother, Gene (Sandra) Fulgham. Arlene is preceded in death by her husband, Robert, her parents, Sam and Minnie Fulgham, and her five siblings, Tom, Betty, Lee, Leon and Duane.
The family sends their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the staff of the Restorium, where Arlene spent the list nine years of her life.
