Howard James Cruce left this world to join his Heavenly Father on October 29, 2024 after a brutal battle with Parkinson’s disease. His memorial service is pending.
Howard was born July 28, 1947, in Martin, Tennessee. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ann, his daughter, Cammie, and his sister, Diane Kail.
Howard served in the United States Air Force, retiring after 20 years as an E8. He was a Vietnam veteran, and retired at Fort Walton Beach, Florida. After the military, Howard had several small business ventures in Florida until he actually retired in 2005. He loved gardening, riding his motorcycles, and knocking back a Wild Turkey before Parkinson’s took all that away.
Howard said he would never live north of I-10, but he voluntarily moved to Porthill in 2013, solidly north of I-90. And he loved it here.
