Anna Michelle Hathaway was born on February 12, 1980, to Shari and Aaron Heki at Bonner General Health in Sandpoint, Idaho. Anna passed away unexpectedly at home in Bonners Ferry on Thanksgiving morning, November 28, 2024. Her Celebration of Life will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 602 Schweitzer Cutoff Road, Sandpoint, with viewing at 10 a.m. and service at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 12.
Her time here on Earth was cut short due to heart failure at 44 years old.
Anna was a dearly loved member of her family. She acted as a role model and was admired for her generosity, good humor, vibrancy, and dependability.
She grew up in Sandpoint and spent much of her adult life in Bonners Ferry. She consistently touched the hearts of her community through acts of genuine kindness, thoughtfulness, and care. Throughout her careers in the health care and construction professions, she brightened her various workplaces with her infectious smile and sense of humor. The people she worked with became her friends and family.
Anna was a woman of many talents. Reading, writing, sewing, canning, crafting, horticulture, and holistic healing were among her many interests. Most central to her life was her faith. Her relationship with the Lord was unwavering throughout all the chapters of her life. It is a comfort to know that she has been welcomed into heaven and has joined the ranks of angels.
Anna was preceded in death by her father, Aaron Heki, and is survived by her mother, Shari Heki; Anna’s children, Trinity Vaage, Mattie and Wyatt Hathaway; their father, Matt Hathaway; her sister Sarah Dickson and Sarah’s children, Che Caplan and Tanner Dickson; her sister Elizabeth Heki and Elizabeth’s children, Preston, Ronan, and Aven Stirrat; Trinity’s daughter Mallory Vaage; her brothers Alan and Joseph Heki; and many other loved ones.
