A man who had terrorized his Old Addie Road neighbors since 2018 over a well agreement pled guilty last month to unlawful possession of destructive devices or bombs.

Pipe bombs, in particular, intended to be used against neighbors David and Kim Eccles on May 1, 2024, if a scheduled court proceeding on the issue didn’t go his way.

Fortunately, a friend told deputies in April that she’d seen Daniel Peter Floyd, 58, making the bombs in a shop at his home after she’d accompanied him on a supply run to Bonner County.

A subsequent search by sheriff’s deputies and Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms bomb technicians found three pipe-bombs, fused and finished.

Appearing before Judge Barbara Buchanan November 20, Floyd said he was changing his plea to guilty because he was guilty.

He was released on his own recognizance and ordered to stay away from the Eccles. Sentencing is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 19.
