The four Badger basketball teams traveled to Reardan Washington for the four team Reardan Christmas Tournament last weekend and the boys varsity continued their season win streak by going undefeated in the tournament and dominating the Manson Trojans with a blow out of 89-47 and the Reardan Screaming Eagles with a close win of 66-57.
“This was a great game for our boys!” said Badger Peyton Hinthorn’s mom Kelly Hinthorn of the Reardan game. “It was fast and physical – just what we needed! The boys were constantly moving, and they were thinking one step ahead the entire game. They really showed up this weekend!”
The Screaming Eagles now have a record of 8-1 with their win streak annihilated by the Badgers on Saturday.
The varsity lady Badgers won one and lost one, with the win being against the Lakeside Eagles with a victory of 57-51. The girls fought hard but lost to the Reardan Screaming Eagles with a tight game of 53-59.
“The girls played a great game,” such a physical game and they battled!” Hinthorn added. The girls placed second in the tournament.
The only information to cross the editors’ desk on the junior varsity teams is that the boys won 39-38 in game one and lost the second. The girls also won one and lost one.
Way to represent Bonners Ferry. It was a good weekend to be a Badger!
