They are the only 7-0 boys 4A class high school basketball team in Idaho with only one other team, Snake River, awaiting a loss. They sit at the top of the 4A standings with 13 more games to win before they return to state state tournament play March 6-8, this season in Eagle.
Of 17 Idaho 4A teams, they rank number one in the MaxPrep standings.
Even more impressive is that these young men are the only undefeated team to make the top four of all 140 of Idaho’s boy’s high school basketball teams, where they are ranked third behind Meridian’s Owyhee High School, 6-2, and Rexburg’s Madison High School, 5-1.

But perhaps last season’s history should be taken into account for this team, because having had their first-ever taste of a state championship, this year’s Bonners Ferry Badgers are mighty, mighty hungry for another sip from that nectar- filled chalice.
