There have been a reported 90 plus students out sick in the last week due to rapid transmission of flu and cold symptoms. Parents are asked that if you have a child exhibiting any of the following symptoms, to keep that child home until they are symptom free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medications:
- Fever (100.4 F or higher)
- Coughing or sore throat
- Body aches or chills
- Fatigue or feeling unusually weak
- Headache
- Runny or stuffy nose
- Vomiting or diarrhea (common with influenza)
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
If your child has been diagnosed with the flu or another contagious illness, please inform the school at (208) 267-3149 so they can take additional precautions as needed. If you child has chronic health conditions or is feeling particularly unwell, consider consulting your healthcare provider for further advise.
