Drive in front of BCMS is one way

Bonners Ferry Police remind motorists to refrain from traveling south in front of the Boundary County Middle School at any time as the driveway is clearly marked as one way, which is south to north. Or, if you’re standing on Main Street (not advisable, the sidewalk is far safer) right to left.

If an emergency was to happen, going the opposite direction causes confusion and could delay first responders or cause a collision.
This includes when you park in front of the school — the exit is North towards Fry Street.

When the gates are closed behind Boundary County Middle School please refrain from walking through that area as well.

Police are working to restrict access to the area when the students can be outside during lunch.

“Please refrain from walking through the middle of the campus during that time,” an officer said. “We have beautiful sidewalks out on Highway 95, and in the interest of the safety of the students the Bonners Ferry Police Department asks that you please respect closed off areas.”
