Boys Varsity now 18-0 after win over Coeur d’Alene

The Badger varsity basketball teams traveled to Coeur d’Alene this evening for the boys to play the Coeur d’Alene High School Vikings and for the girls to play the Genesis Prep Academy Jaguars. Both teams were victorious.

The boys, in true Badger fashion took the win against the Vikings 71-52.  Asher Williams led in scoring with 28 followed by Sulay Abubakari with 16, Brody Rice with 14, Peyton Hinthorn with seven and Thomas Bateman with six. This brings their record to 18-0. The boys are ranked number one in the state for 4A and number 4 in the entire state of Idaho for boys’ high school basketball.

The girls played Genesis Prep Academy this afternoon and took the win 58-23.  Sydney Hinthorn led in scoring for the Lady Badgers with 15, followed by Makenna Baisden with ten, Alexys Mierke, Eva Willis and Hallie Thompson with eight points each, Brooke Petesch with five and Nolie Hiatt with four.  This brings their record to 12-7.

The girls will play against their league opponent, the Timberlake Tigers, at home on Tuesday, February 4th at 7 p.m.  The boys will play in Priest River on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.
