I am Gerald B. Higgs in LD-1, Bonners Ferry. I speak for myself and am against House Bill 93. Boundary County School District 101 will be disproportionately harmed, along with other rural school districts throughout the state. We will have to compete with private schools for the same revenue(s) this bill would authorize.
I find it offensive that out-of-state entities, such as Hillsdale College of Michigan, can shape a political or religious agenda that is counterintuitive to the citizens of our state.
It is the constitutional duty of the Idaho legislature to fully fund our public school system in all 44 counties!
This bill is gimmickry in it’s worst form wrapped in the christian* nationalist agenda.
* Christian is not capitalized in the previous sentence because these groups are promoting an unholy agenda!
