Craig Hamilton, the father of two of South Boundary Firefighters, Ethan and Seth, has recently been diagnosed with end stage cirrhosis and NAFLD (non-alcoholic fatty liver disease). He and his wife, Jennifer will be traveling from their home in Bonners Ferry to the Mayo Clinic in Florida to determine a treatment plan. South Boundary Fire has graciously volunteered to host this fundraiser to help support the Hamilton family.
Criag is a father of four and grandfather of two. He has been battling difficult symptoms for some time and finally has a diagnosis. However, after several dead-end medical appointments, numerous expensive tests, lifestyle changes and medication trials, the likelihood of Craig needing a liver transplant is still very high and treatment options are slim.
He and Jennifer have decided to seek another opinion and travel to the world renown, Mayo Clinic in Florida after a request from his hepatologist. They will travel to Jacksonville to meet with a team of specialists to find just the right treatment for Craig.
The family is humbled and ever so grateful for the already outpouring of prayers, donations and love from their community.
