The Bonners Ferry High School cheer team competed at the state competition this year but did not place as hoped. While the outcome wasn’t what they had envisioned, the team’s dedication and hard work throughout the season remain a point of pride for the program.

Throughout the year, the cheerleaders have been a constant presence, supporting other sports teams, fostering school spirit, and dedicating countless hours to practice. Their commitment extends beyond the competitive season, with summer open gyms, learning cheers and band dances for football games, and cheering at every home basketball game—all while preparing for their own competitions.

“I’m incredibly proud of this team and the effort they’ve put in all year,” said Coach Teri Hinrichs. “Win or lose, they’ve shown dedication, perseverance, and a love for their sport. I’m excited to see what they can accomplish next year.”

As they wrap up this year’s competition season, the Bonners Ferry High School cheer team remains focused on the future, ready to build on their experience and continue their tradition of spirit and excellence.
