Help Jeff Avery fight cancer … again

Tia and Jeff Avery

It’s been a long road for Jeff Avery and his wife Tia. Jeff was diagnosed with colon cancer a few years back. It goes away, then comes back; then it goes away, then comes back. This last week, they were told that it’s back and one of the tumors is pressing on his bronchial tube. Now they are faced with yet more financial strain, emotional and physical stress and worry.

Jeff and Tia are weary and could use your help. First of all, they ask that you pray…pray…pray! If you are in a position to give financially, you can click the link at the bottom of the article and you can donate to the GoFundMe page. If you would like to give another way, please send 9B News an email or text for more donating options.

Jeff and Tia’s daughter, Kelsey sums it up nicely:

“Asking for help is not easy for most of us.

Dad is fighting round after round of cancer, currently about to embark on another very aggressive treatment…but only after he can finally heal from a procedure to be done next week to help clear his lungs from sepsis and pneumonia that placed him in the hospital in the first place.
You can imagine the financial toll on medical bills, fuel, odds and ends to purchase being away from home, medical items, food for travel, more fuel, more bills.
To fight for a life like Dad’s, being something truly priceless, sometimes brings obstacles that comes with money being necessary to be able to fight this fight.
While our faith and hope rests in God, we love and appreciate the help from our community as well.
God works as a whole unit; he does not work alone!
Thank you all for loving my dad so much. And thank you for every cent you’re able to offer him and my mom during this time.”
