ON TO STATE! As tradition dictates, they stopped off for a mid-travel practice in Hermiston, Oregon. Head coach, Nathan Williams is just as excited as they are; “The team is excited, healthy and looking forward to the first game against Kimberly. We just got done having a good practice in Hermiston and continue to prepare for three tough games in three nights.”
Your boys Varsity basketball team is a lead contender in the state competition this year in Eagle, Idaho. Last year, the Badgers made history with a first EVER state championship in boys’ basketball. This, year is looking good as they head into the tournament with a record of 21-1. According to Max Preps, Bonners Ferry is ranked number one in the Idaho Division 4A, with Snake River and Sugar-Salem close behind. Notably, the Badgers are the only team in the 4A division with only one loss on the season.
Thursday, the Badgers will take on 11th ranked Kimberly Bulldogs, at 5 p.m. Mountain Time.
