In 2020 Kelly Thompson and her husband Eric purchased the Sandpoint landmark, Kokanee Coffee Company. With changes in life and market, they made the decision in 2024 to relocate their small business to Bonners Ferry; and they are so glad they did.

employees and her experience in the industry; “We want to honor the Lord and believe that the stand belongs to Him including our employees and customers. At Kokanee, our employees have always been our most valuable asset. We want them to feel invested in and to feel like family.
In my 30 years in coffee, I have come to the realization that coffee is a relationship-based industry. Focusing on our community allows us to be intentional with choices regarding team members, employee training, products and community involvement to cultivate an environment that is fruitful for the community and for the Kingdom.”

Kokanee Coffee is currently offering a wide drink menu, including daily specials and happy hour, with a variety of breakfast items including The Hoot Owl burritos and sandwiches. Their cafe menu and will be expanding but for now they are offering their daily soups, to-go salad and Kokanee’s Italian Chop wrap.
Kokanee Coffee Company is open Monday thru Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday they are open from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
