Badger golf completes second tournament of season

April 7th the team traveled to Kellogg’s Pinehurst course to play their second invite of the season. It was a very rainy, cool day but the Badger athletes represented well.

Girls team of Sydney Hinthorn, senior, Nolie Hiatt, sophomore, Callie Bateman, sophomore, Sadie Newhouse, sophomore and Elleanor Sheets, freshman, scored a team score of 448 to take first place.

Callie Bateman broke a 100 with a score of 99 placing her in first and medaling. Nolie Hiatt 100, Sydney Hinthorn 112, Sadie Newhouse 137 and Eleanor Sheets 144.

The Boys team of Eli Blackmore, senior, Makeen Loretto, senior, Caden Bates, freshman, Rowdy Hull, sophomore, and Gabriel Warren, sophomore placed fifth. Eli tied for fifth overall with a score of 91.

Caden Bates and Gabriel Warren shot 112, Makeen Loretto 120 and Rowdy Hull 121.

Also playing were Sophie Jackson 146, Piper Banning (73 for 9), Bodee Scarborough (sophomore -112), Easton Scarborough (freshman-124).

March 19th the team traveled to Lewiston’s Bryden Canyon course for their first invite of the season.

Eli Blackmore shot 85, Nolie Hiatt 91, Makeen Loretto 105, Callie Bateman 106, Brandon Gardner 113, Sydney Hinthorn 124, Rowdy Hull 124, Trenton Myers 124, all playing 18. Gabriel Warren 55, Piper Banning 73, Grant Chouinard 60 and Elleanor Sheets 62 all played nine holes.

For a first time playing a full round, they all did well. Eli, Nolie and Callie all medaled. Their next Invite is this Thursday at home at Mirror Lake Golf Course.
