Four Boundary county athletes to compete at world championship in Florida.

The SAGA Competitive Cheer team out of Sandpoint, Idaho with competitors from Boundary County, announced that one of its teams has earned a bid to the 2025 All-Star World Championships set to take place starting tomorrow, April 15th at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida. Cheerleading Worlds is a major international competition and is considered the “pinnacle” of All Star cheerleading. It is a great honor to be given a bid to Worlds and SAGA Competitive Cheer out of Sandpoint, Idaho, coached by Jessica Edmondson is thrilled to be among the chosen.

The team of 14 athletes accepted the bid early this month to compete at the championships. The team ranges in ages from 13 to 19 years old four of them, athletes from Bonners Ferry; Abi Alcaide, Alyssa Gardner, Kynsie Hinrichs, and Brenna Stewart. These four, along with their teammates, Brady Barton, Fancy Bowlsby, Lydia DeLair, Elsie Lamb, Evelynn Mart, Kinsley Vasquez, Megen Vasquez, Alora Weisz, Cabela Sullivan, and Donna Tutin all from North Idaho, left their homes this morning and traveled to the Sunshine State.

These young athletes will hit the mat tomorrow at 11:45 a.m. (EST) at the Orange County Convention Center against 14 teams in their division from all over the globe. If they place in the top 50% tomorrow, they will have the honor competing on Wednesday in the finals.
